Ending Poverty

What happens if we can end poverty? Because we can, theoretically. We have the money and we have the resources to end poverty forever. But no one has quite worked out how we get the money from where it is plentiful to where it is spare, quickly and efficiently, while making sure it gets to the right people. Ideally we want everyone to go to bed without feeling pangs of hunger and to wake up under a roof. There are so many charities and programs helping people in Africa and Asia, that no one can keep track of them all. When you go to donate money how do you know what your giving it to and who it's going to help. I know that when I give money I want to know what's going to happen to it. This is where my idea of a charity tracker comes from. But more about that when it's actually developed. And what about incentives. How many people have come close to donating money but then thought something like, my card is downstairs; ill do it later; i dont have time. Dont charities need to stand up and shout at us as were about to turn away. So what about aggressive messages on the donations page. And lets add to this, what about a program that goes as far as to calculate how much you spend on things your dont really need. So a night out lets say.. you've been out friday night, but now your also thinking about spending 50 odd quid on drinks with the girls saturday night. Imagine you think about forgoing this one night out and putting that 50 quid to a charity. You would then be told excatly what happens to that money, and once you realize you've fed a village for a day in comparison to getting yourself a little bit tipsy, the enjoyment you'll receive is huge compared to a hangover the next morning.
